Lang Cloze is operated under the Lang Cloze brand ("we", "us"). You can reach us about any privacy matter at support@langcloze.com.

The service is available worldwide, but it is not offered to users in mainland China.

When you sign in, we receive your email address and, if you use Google or Microsoft sign-in, your account identifier, name, and profile image. We also store account and session identifiers needed to keep you signed in.

When you use Lang Cloze, we may store learning activity such as practice attempts, progress, favorites, custom learning packs, subscription status, and speech-usage duration.

When you pay, Stripe processes your payment. We store the plan, order, payment and refund status, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers — never your full card number or security code.

Audio you record for speech recognition is transmitted securely through our server gateway to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Qwen) so that we can return a transcript and feedback. Lang Cloze does not permanently store your microphone recordings or full transcripts. We retain technical usage information, such as audio duration, to operate quotas and prevent abuse.

When you create a custom learning pack with AI, the dialogue or text you submit is sent to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Qwen) to understand your scenario and generate content. Text-to-speech audio generated for learning content may be cached to improve speed and reliability.

We use this information to provide sign-in, synchronize learning progress, generate and recognize speech, deliver requested emails, process subscriptions, payments and refunds, protect the service, and improve reliability.

We do not sell your personal information or microphone recordings, and we do not use your information for third-party advertising.

We use service providers to operate Lang Cloze: Cloudflare for hosting, storage (Cloudflare D1) and security; Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Qwen) for speech and AI features; Google and Microsoft for optional sign-in; Resend for sign-in and service emails (sent from notice@mail.langcloze.com); and Stripe for payments. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services under their own privacy and security terms.

We use a secure, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in (up to 30 days), short-lived sign-in security state, and a first-party preference cookie to remember your privacy choice. When you follow an invitation link, we store its referral code in an HTTP-only first-party cookie for up to 30 days and bind it only when you create a new account. We store credit transactions and qualifying learning completion to issue invitation rewards. Browser local storage holds learning progress, custom pack copies, and interface preferences.

Only if you accept analytics, we store a random visitor identifier in your browser and send first-party usage events to Lang Cloze so we can understand which pages and learning flows are useful. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.

We apply access controls, encryption in transit, short-lived sign-in links, and hashed authentication tokens to protect account data.

Account and learning data is stored in Cloudflare D1 and served through a global infrastructure. Your information may be accessed, transferred, or processed outside your country or region — including the United States and other regions — where data-protection rules may differ from yours. We apply contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards required by applicable law.

We keep account and learning data while your account is active. When you delete your account, personal data is deleted or anonymized immediately, except records we must keep for tax, accounting, payment, security, or dispute purposes. Security and access logs are normally kept for about 90 days, and speech-usage records for up to 24 months.

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a supervisory authority.

You can exercise key rights yourself: sign in and open the "Data & privacy" card on your account page to download a JSON export of your account data or to delete your account. You can also email support@langcloze.com.

Users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have the rights granted by the GDPR and UK GDPR, and can use the export and deletion features above to exercise them.

Lang Cloze is intended for users aged 18 or older and is not directed at children. If we learn that we have collected a minor's personal information without meeting legal requirements, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents or guardians can contact us at support@langcloze.com.
